Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Floyd is a small mountain town with class.

Ruby will be the main language of the retreat. Other languages are welcomed, especially if you have a pair using the same language to work with. This Code Retreat is not intended to be a language learning day, rather a crafting/honing of what you know.
We'll start our journey on Saturday coding at the Sun Music Hall in downtown Floyd. We'll then move to Apple Ridge for a full catered pizza/beer social Saturday night and more pair programming on Sunday.
Airport: The closest airport is Ronoke, Va (ROA). If you are renting a car, Greensboro, NC (GSO) may be cheaper.
Hotels: The Hotel Floyd is closest to the The Sun Music Hall. The Bent Mountain Lodge the closest to Apple Ridge. Hotels in Roanoke are the closest to the airport.
There is no fee associated with the retreat. Saturday night lodging is limited and reserved at
Apple Ridge, bunk house style. Camping at Apple Ridge is also available.
